  • 1 to 2 teaspoons maple syrup, to taste
  • 6 ounces hot freshly brewed coffee (¾ cup, your favorite roast)

For the Topping

  • Fresh whipped cream, for topping (use coconut whipped cream for dairy-free/vegan option)

Instructions

  1. Combine whiskey and maple syrup. Pour the Irish whiskey and 1 teaspoon of maple syrup into a heat-safe mug to start building the drink’s flavor base.
  2. Add a splash of coffee and stir. Pour in a small amount of hot coffee and stir gently until the maple syrup has fully dissolved into the whiskey and coffee mixture.
  3. Pour remaining coffee and adjust sweetness. Add the rest of the freshly brewed coffee, taste the drink, and stir in additional maple syrup if you’d like it sweeter.
