For the Donuts:
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 egg
- 1/2 cup buttermilk
- 1/4 cup guava nectar
- 1 tbsp champagne or sparkling wine
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
For the Glaze:
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tbsp guava nectar
- 1 tbsp champagne
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C): Grease a donut pan.
- In a bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
- In another bowl, mix sugar, butter, egg, buttermilk, guava nectar, champagne, and vanilla.
- Fold wet mixture into dry ingredients until combined.
- Pipe or spoon batter into donut pan, filling 2/3 full.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until golden and springy. Cool slightly.
- For glaze, whisk powdered sugar, guava nectar, champagne, and vanilla until smooth.
- Dip cooled donuts into glaze and let set before serving.
