Description

A quick and healthy beef and vegetable stir fry featuring tender beef strips, crisp bell peppers, and broccoli tossed in a savory garlic soy sauce. Perfect for a flavorful weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale

Beef

  • 300g beef strips

Vegetables

  • 1 cup bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup broccoli florets

Sauce and Aromatics

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons cooking oil

Instructions

  1. Sear Beef: Heat 2 tablespoons of cooking oil in a wok or large skillet over high heat. Add the beef strips and sear until browned on all sides, about 2-3 minutes. Remove the beef from the pan and set aside.
  2. Stir-Fry Vegetables: In the same pan, add the bell peppers and broccoli. Stir-fry the vegetables over medium-high heat until they are crisp-tender, approximately 3-4 minutes.
  3. Add Garlic: Add the minced garlic to the vegetables and cook for an additional 30 seconds, stirring constantly, until fragrant.
  4. Combine and Season: Return the seared beef to the pan with the vegetables. Pour in 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and toss everything together well to evenly coat. Cook for another 1-2 minutes to heat through and allow flavors to blend.

Notes

  • Use flank or sirloin steak for tender beef strips.
  • Adjust soy sauce quantity for salt preference.
  • Serve with steamed rice or noodles for a complete meal.
  • For added heat, include a pinch of red chili flakes.
  • Ensure the pan is hot to achieve proper searing and crisp vegetables.
