Description

A delicious and easy Breakfast Crescent Ring featuring fluffy scrambled eggs, savory bacon or sausage, and melted cheddar cheese wrapped in flaky crescent roll dough. Perfect for a crowd-pleasing brunch or a hearty breakfast treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Dough

  • 2 cans crescent rolls

Egg Mixture

  • 6 eggs
  • ½ cup milk

Fillings

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ lb cooked bacon or sausage

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Eggs: In a medium bowl, whisk together the 6 eggs and ½ cup of milk until well combined to create a fluffy egg mixture.
  2. Arrange Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and arrange the triangles in a large circle on a greased baking sheet, with the wide ends overlapping in the center and the pointed ends facing outward, forming a ring shape.
  3. Add Fillings: Spoon the scrambled egg mixture evenly over the wide ends of the crescent triangles in the center of the ring. Sprinkle the cooked bacon or sausage evenly on top of the eggs, then evenly distribute the shredded cheddar cheese over the meat and eggs.
  4. Fold the Dough: Carefully fold the pointed ends of the crescent triangles over the filling toward the center of the ring, tucking the ends underneath the dough to seal the filling inside.
  5. Bake the Ring: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Place the assembled crescent ring in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dough is golden brown and cooked through, and the cheese has melted.

Notes

  • Substitute the bacon or sausage with vegetarian sausage or omit for a vegetarian option.
  • Use low-fat milk and reduced-fat cheese to lighten the nutritional content.
  • Serve with salsa or hot sauce for extra flavor.
  • Ensure the crescent dough edges are sealed well to prevent filling leakage during baking.
  • Can be prepared ahead of time and baked fresh in the morning for convenience.
