Description

A rustic and satisfying sandwich layered with creamy brie cheese, delicate slices of prosciutto, fresh tomatoes, and crisp lettuce, all tucked into crusty artisan bread for a perfect balance of flavors and textures.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 crusty baguette or ciabatta loaf, halved lengthwise
  • 4 oz brie cheese, sliced
  • 4 slices prosciutto
  • 1 medium tomato, sliced
  • 1 cup shredded romaine or butter lettuce
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard (optional)
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Slice the baguette or ciabatta in half horizontally. Brush the cut sides lightly with olive oil.
  2. If using, spread Dijon mustard on one or both halves of the bread.
  3. Layer the bottom half with shredded lettuce, tomato slices, brie cheese, and prosciutto.
  4. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
  5. Top with the other half of the bread, press down gently, and slice in half to serve.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, drizzle with balsamic glaze before serving.
  • Best enjoyed fresh to keep the bread crisp.
  • Try adding arugula for a peppery twist.
