Description
Tender, luxurious lobster tails gently poached in a garlic-infused butter bath with a hint of lemon and fresh parsley—perfect for an elegant dinner or special occasion.
Ingredients
Scale
- 6 medium lobster tails
- 12 tbsp unsalted butter
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 tsp kosher salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Using kitchen shears, cut down the top shell of each lobster tail and gently pull the meat upward, resting it on the shell for even cooking.
- In a large, deep skillet, melt the butter over low heat. Add minced garlic and cook for 1–2 minutes until fragrant, without browning.
- Place the lobster tails into the butter, meat-side down. Add lemon slices around the pan.
- Cover the skillet and poach the lobster tails on low heat for about 10–12 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and tender.
- Baste the lobster meat with the butter throughout cooking to enhance flavor.
- Remove from heat, sprinkle with kosher salt, black pepper, and fresh parsley.
- Serve immediately with extra lemon wedges and butter from the pan spooned over the top.
Notes
- Ensure the butter remains at a low simmer to avoid overcooking the lobster.
- Use a thermometer to check that the internal temperature of the lobster reaches 140°F for perfect doneness.
- Fresh lemon juice can be added just before serving for extra brightness.
