Crispy and cheesy campfire pizza sandwiches made with English muffins, pizza sauce, and your favorite toppings, cooked to perfection in a skillet.

- 4 English muffins or sturdy sandwich rolls
- 1/2 cup pizza sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices (or any toppings of choice)
- 2 tablespoons butter or olive oil
- Optional: sautéed mushrooms, bell peppers, olives
Instructions
- Split the English muffins or sandwich rolls and spread pizza sauce on the inside of each half.
- Layer with shredded mozzarella, Parmesan, pepperoni, and any optional toppings of your choice.
- Close the sandwich and lightly butter or brush the outside of each piece of bread.
- Heat a cast iron skillet or griddle over a campfire or stove. Place the sandwiches in the skillet and press down slightly.
- Cook for 2–3 minutes per side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
- Serve hot and enjoy immediately by the campfire.
Notes
- Use sturdy bread to prevent sogginess.
- Customize with your favorite pizza toppings.
- For a vegetarian version, skip the pepperoni and load up on veggies.
