Cupcakes:
- 2/3 cup butter (room temperature)
- 2 cups all-purpose flour

- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3/4 teaspoon baking soda

- 3 large eggs
- 2/3 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 2/3 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Yellow and orange gel food coloring
Frosting:
- 1 1/4 cups butter (room temperature)
- 5 cups powdered sugar
- 5 tablespoons heavy whipping cream
- 1 1/4 teaspoons vanilla extract
- Orange sanding sugar
- Yellow sanding sugar
- Mini white sugar pearls
- Candy corn
Instructions
- Cupcakes – Preheat the oven, mix dry ingredients, add wet ingredients, divide batter, color batters, layer in cupcake liners, bake, cool.
- Frosting – Beat butter, add sugar, cream, and vanilla, beat until fluffy, pipe onto cooled cupcakes, decorate with sugars and candy corn, store in airtight container.
Notes
- You can adjust the intensity of the colors by adding more or less gel food coloring.
- Make sure the cupcakes are completely cooled before frosting to prevent melting.
- Feel free to get creative with the decorations and add your own twist to these cupcakes.
