Description

A juicy beef burger topped with melted cheddar cheese, crispy bacon, a fried egg, sautéed jalapeños, and sweet blackberry jelly for the ultimate savory and sweet combination.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 hamburger buns (preferably brioche or pretzel buns)
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 4 slices cooked bacon
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup sautéed jalapeños (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup blackberry jelly or jam

Instructions

  1. Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Season ground beef with salt and pepper; form into 4 equal patties.
  3. Grill or cook patties 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer to desired doneness.
  4. During last minute, top each patty with cheddar slice and let melt.
  5. Cook bacon in skillet over medium heat until crispy; drain on paper towels.
  6. In same skillet, fry eggs sunny-side up or to preference (3-4 minutes).
  7. Sauté sliced jalapeños in skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until soft and slightly charred.
  8. Lightly toast burger buns on grill or skillet.
  9. Spread blackberry jelly on bottom bun halves.
  10. Layer with burger patty with cheese, bacon, fried egg, and sautéed jalapeños.
  11. Top with bun halves, serve, and enjoy.
