- 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 hamburger buns (preferably brioche or pretzel buns)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese
- 4 slices cooked bacon
- 4 large eggs
- 1/4 cup sautéed jalapeños (sliced)
- 1/4 cup blackberry jelly or jam
Instructions
- Preheat grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Season ground beef with salt and pepper; form into 4 equal patties.
- Grill or cook patties 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare or longer to desired doneness.
- During last minute, top each patty with cheddar slice and let melt.
- Cook bacon in skillet over medium heat until crispy; drain on paper towels.
- In same skillet, fry eggs sunny-side up or to preference (3-4 minutes).
- Sauté sliced jalapeños in skillet over medium heat for 2-3 minutes until soft and slightly charred.
- Lightly toast burger buns on grill or skillet.
- Spread blackberry jelly on bottom bun halves.
- Layer with burger patty with cheese, bacon, fried egg, and sautéed jalapeños.
- Top with bun halves, serve, and enjoy.
