- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 2 cups marinara sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- Fresh basil or parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground meat, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.
- Shape into 1.5-inch meatballs and place on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until browned and cooked through.
- In an oven-safe skillet, pour marinara sauce and gently nestle in the baked meatballs.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses over the top.
- Bake in the oven for another 10–12 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Garnish with fresh basil or parsley and serve hot with pasta, bread, or hoagie rolls.
