- 1 ripe banana, mashed
- 1 egg
- 2 tbsp maple syrup or honey
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp melted butter or coconut oil
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 tsp baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a small ramekin or oven-safe dish.
- In a bowl, mix mashed banana, egg, maple syrup, vanilla, and melted butter until smooth.
- Stir in flour, baking powder, and salt until just combined.
- Fold in most of the chocolate chips, reserving a few for topping.
- Pour batter into the prepared ramekin and top with remaining chocolate chips.
- Bake for 18–22 minutes or until golden and set in the center.
- Let cool slightly and enjoy warm straight from the ramekin.
Notes
- Microwave the banana for 10 seconds if it’s not fully ripe.
- Use dairy-free butter and chocolate chips for a vegan version.
- Add a pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for extra flavor depth.
