Egg Yolk Mixture:

Mascarpone Cream:

- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

- 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
- 1 package (7 oz) ladyfingers (savoiardi)
- Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Egg Yolk Mixture: Whisk egg yolks and sugar over a double boiler until thick.
- Let cool slightly and whisk in mascarpone cheese until smooth.
- In a separate bowl, whip cream to stiff peaks and fold into mascarpone mixture.
- Combine coffee and liqueur in a shallow dish.
- Dip ladyfingers briefly into coffee mixture and layer in a dish.
- Spread half of mascarpone cream over ladyfingers.
- Repeat layering and top with remaining cream.
- Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
- Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
