Description

Classic Italian Tiramisu is a timeless dessert featuring layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, airy mascarpone cream, and a cocoa powder dusting. Creamy, decadent, and no-bake.


Ingredients

Egg Yolk Mixture:

  • 6 egg yolks
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar

Mascarpone Cream:

  • 1 cup mascarpone cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream

Other:

  • 2 cups strong brewed coffee, cooled
  • 2 tablespoons coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 1 package (7 oz) ladyfingers (savoiardi)
  • Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Egg Yolk Mixture: Whisk egg yolks and sugar over a double boiler until thick.
  2. Let cool slightly and whisk in mascarpone cheese until smooth.
  3. In a separate bowl, whip cream to stiff peaks and fold into mascarpone mixture.
  4. Combine coffee and liqueur in a shallow dish.
  5. Dip ladyfingers briefly into coffee mixture and layer in a dish.
  6. Spread half of mascarpone cream over ladyfingers.
  7. Repeat layering and top with remaining cream.
  8. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours.
  9. Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
