Description

Juicy and flavorful burgers made with ground chuck, ranch seasoning, sour cream, and topped with melted cheddar and crispy bacon.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 1 1/2 lb ground chuck
  • 2 tablespoons ranch dressing mix
  • 3 tablespoons sour cream
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/3 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
  • 1 head lettuce (for serving)
  • 4 hamburger buns (toasted, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground chuck, ranch dressing mix, and sour cream. Mix until just combined—do not overwork the meat.
  2. Shape the mixture into 4 large, thick burger patties.
  3. Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 4–5 minutes per side, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
  4. In the last minute of cooking, top each patty with cheddar cheese and cover with a lid to melt the cheese thoroughly.
  5. Sprinkle each patty with cooked bacon and allow it to slightly crisp on the hot cheese.
  6. Serve on buns with fresh lettuce or your toppings of choice.

Notes

  • Do not overmix the meat to keep the burgers juicy.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure patties are cooked to a safe temperature.
  • Customize with additional toppings like tomatoes, onions, or pickles.
