Description

- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp ground nutmeg
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1 cup pitted dates, chopped
- 1 large apple, peeled and diced
- 3/4 cup chopped walnuts
- Powdered sugar, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8-inch round cake pan or bundt pan.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
- In a large bowl, beat the butter and brown sugar until fluffy. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla.
- Stir in the yogurt and milk until smooth. Gradually add the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Fold in the chopped dates, apples, and walnuts.
- Pour the batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake for 40–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
- Cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack to cool completely.
- Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
Notes
- Best served at room temperature.
- Can be stored in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
