Ingredients
Scale
Main Ingredients
- 3/4 cup chopped dark chocolate (or substitute chocolate chips or any type of chocolate you prefer)
- 18 dried apricots
Optional Toppings
- Chopped nuts
- Pumpkin seeds
- Edible dried flowers
- Sea salt
Instructions
- Melt the Chocolate: Add 3/4 cup chopped dark chocolate to a pot on the stove set to low heat. Cook, stirring constantly, until the chocolate has completely melted then immediately remove the pot from the heat to prevent burning.
- Prepare the Dipping Station: Transfer the melted chocolate to a bowl to make dipping easier and to maintain the chocolate’s smooth texture.
- Dip the Apricots: Using tongs or a fork, dip each dried apricot into the melted chocolate, coating about two-thirds of the apricot evenly.
- Place on Lined Surface: Lay the chocolate-dipped apricot on a plate or sheet pan lined with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat to prevent sticking.
- Add Toppings: While the chocolate is still wet, immediately sprinkle your choice of optional toppings such as chopped nuts, pumpkin seeds, edible dried flowers, or sea salt, so they adhere well.
- Repeat: Continue dipping and topping the remaining apricots using the same method until all are coated.
- Chill to Set: Place the tray of dipped apricots in the refrigerator for at least 60 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden fully before serving.
Notes
- Store these chocolate covered apricots in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to two weeks to maintain freshness.
- If you use fresh apricots instead of dried, reduce storage time to a maximum of three days and ensure they are kept refrigerated.
