Description

This Easy Creamy Homemade Guacamole recipe is a fresh, vibrant dip made from ripe avocados, lime juice, and a mix of diced tomatoes, onions, jalapenos, and cilantro. Perfect as a snack or party appetizer, this simple and quick guacamole delivers creamy texture with a perfect balance of tangy, spicy, and savory flavors.

Ingredients

Scale

Ingredients

  • 3 Ripe Avocados
  • 1 Roma Tomato, seeded and finely diced
  • 1/2 Medium White Onion, finely diced
  • 1/2 cup Cilantro, finely chopped
  • 4 tbsp Lime Juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 Jalapeno Pepper, seeded and finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp Kosher Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Black Pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Avocados: Cut 3 large avocados in half lengthwise and carefully remove the pits. Using a spoon, scrape the avocado flesh out into a medium-sized bowl with a flat bottom. Use a potato masher or fork to mash the avocados to a chunky consistency, leaving some small lumps for texture.
  2. Add Lime Juice: Immediately squeeze fresh lime juice over the mashed avocado to prevent browning and to add bright, zesty flavor. This will also help keep the guacamole fresh longer.
  3. Mix in Vegetables and Seasonings: Add the finely diced Roma tomato, white onion, seeded and chopped jalapeno, and chopped cilantro into the bowl. Season with kosher salt and black pepper to taste. Gently stir all ingredients together until just combined, being careful not to over-mix and turn it mushy.
  4. Serve: Transfer the guacamole to a serving bowl and enjoy immediately with tortilla chips, or use as a topping for tacos, burritos, or salads for a fresh, creamy boost.

Notes

  • Use ripe, but not overripe, avocados for the creamiest texture and best flavor.
  • Adjust the jalapeno quantity to control the spiciness according to your preference.
  • For a smoother texture, mash the avocados longer or use a food processor.
  • Store leftovers in an airtight container with plastic wrap pressed directly on the surface of the guacamole to minimize browning.
  • If you want a bit more tang, add extra lime juice to taste.
