Description

Garlic Parmesan Chicken Meatloaf is a deliciously modern twist on a classic comfort food. This moist and flavorful meatloaf features lean ground chicken, aromatic roasted garlic, and rich Parmesan cheese, creating an inviting dish perfect for family dinners or impressing guests. Easy to prepare and bake, it fills your kitchen with mouthwatering aromas while delivering a hearty meal that everyone will love.

Ingredients

Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 4 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (plain or Italian-seasoned)
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce (low-sodium recommended)
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat and Prepare Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a baking dish with nonstick spray to prevent sticking during baking.
  2. Sauté Onions: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced onions until they become soft and translucent, approximately 5 minutes. This step enhances the onion’s sweetness and flavor.
  3. Mix Ingredients: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, sautéed onions, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, eggs, soy sauce, salt, pepper, and half of the grated Parmesan cheese. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.
  4. Shape the Meatloaf: Transfer the mixture into the greased baking dish and shape it into a loaf form, ensuring it is evenly packed for uniform cooking.
  5. Add Topping: Sprinkle the remaining Parmesan cheese evenly over the top of the meatloaf. You may optionally add paprika or Italian seasoning to enhance the flavor further.
  6. Bake: Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 45-50 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) to ensure the meatloaf is fully cooked and safe to eat.
  7. Rest and Serve: Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute, making the meatloaf moist and easier to slice. Serve warm.

Notes

  • For additional flavor, try adding fresh herbs like parsley or basil into the mix.
  • Use low-sodium soy sauce to reduce the overall salt content.
  • Allow the meatloaf to rest before slicing to maintain moisture and texture.
  • Breadcrumbs can be substituted with gluten-free breadcrumbs to make it gluten-free.
  • Serve with mashed potatoes or steamed vegetables for a complete meal.
