Description

A glass of this citrusy refreshing grapefruit sangria is just what you want to end your outdoor BBQ dinner with. This red sangria recipe is a keeper!

Ingredients

Scale

750ml Pinot Noir

  • 1 grapefruit thinly sliced
  • 1 orange thinly sliced
  • Up to ½ cup (120ml) simple syrup*
  • ¼ cup (60ml) orange liquor, such as Grand Marnier

Instructions

  1. Combine all the ingredients: Mix the Pinot Noir, grapefruit slices, orange slices, simple syrup, and orange liquor in a pitcher.
  2. Refrigerate: Cover the pitcher and refrigerate for 5-6 hours (no longer than 12 hours).
  3. Adjust sweetness: Before serving, taste the sangria and adjust the amount of simple syrup to your preference.

Notes

  • To make the simple syrup, combine equal amounts of water and sugar in a small saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring until sugar is dissolved. Cool completely before using.
