Description

Grilled Chicken Folded Pita Sandwiches are warm, stuffed pitas filled with juicy seasoned chicken, crisp slaw, fresh veggies, and creamy garlic sauce—grilled to perfection and served with fries for a satisfying, street food-inspired meal.


Ingredients

  • 6 pita breads or folded flatbreads
  • 2 chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup red cabbage slaw or coleslaw mix
  • 1 small carrot, julienned
  • 1/4 red onion, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 cup Greek yogurt or garlic sauce
  • Optional: fries and extra dipping sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat. Add shredded chicken, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Sauté for 2–3 minutes until heated through and seasoned.
  2. Warm pita breads slightly in a skillet or on a grill for 1–2 minutes per side to make them pliable.
  3. Fill each pita with shredded lettuce, slaw or coleslaw mix, carrots, red onion, parsley, and the warm chicken mixture.
  4. Add a dollop of Greek yogurt or garlic sauce inside each pita.
  5. Grill the stuffed pitas in a panini press or grill pan for 1–2 minutes until grill marks form and the sandwich is warmed through.
  6. Serve hot with fries and extra dipping sauce on the side.
