- 4 slices sourdough or multigrain bread
- 1 tablespoon butter, softened
- 1 large ripe peach, thinly sliced
- 4 slices white cheddar cheese
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 6–8 fresh basil leaves
- Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
Instructions
- Lightly butter one side of each bread slice.
- On the unbuttered side, layer slices of white cheddar, peach, and fresh basil. Drizzle with honey and sprinkle with black pepper.
- Top with the remaining bread, buttered side out.
- Heat a skillet over medium heat. Grill sandwiches for 3–4 minutes per side until bread is golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Slice and serve immediately while warm and melty.
Notes
- Use ripe but firm peaches for the best texture.
- Try with other cheeses like brie or gouda for variation.
