Description

A light and refreshing summer cocktail blending honeydew juice, elderflower liqueur, and basil, topped with bubbly Prosecco and a splash of citrus.


Ingredients

  • 4 oz Prosecco
  • 1 oz elderflower liqueur
  • 2 oz honeydew juice (fresh or cold-pressed)
  • 1/2 oz lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1 oz sparkling water
  • 1 handful fresh basil leaves (plus extra for garnish)
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: honeydew wedge for garnish

Instructions

  1. In a cocktail shaker, gently muddle fresh basil leaves with the lemon juice to release the aroma.
  2. Add honeydew juice, elderflower liqueur, and a few ice cubes. Shake lightly to combine.
  3. Strain into a large wine glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top with Prosecco and a splash of sparkling water. Stir gently.
  5. Garnish with a sprig of basil and a wedge of honeydew melon.

Notes

  • Use chilled Prosecco and sparkling water for best results.
  • Adjust lemon juice for more or less tartness.
