Scale
- 200g kadaif (shredded phyllo dough)
- 1/3 cup melted butter
- 1 tablespoon sugar (optional, for light sweetness)
- 1 cup heavy whipping cream
- 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 tablespoons chopped toasted nuts (pistachios, walnuts, or hazelnuts)
- Caramel sauce or honey drizzle
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Gently separate kadaif strands and mix with melted butter and optional sugar until evenly coated.
- Press small amounts of kadaif into greased muffin tins to form nest shapes.
- Bake for 15–20 minutes until golden and crispy. Let cool completely before removing.
- In a chilled bowl, whip cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
- Fill the cooled kadaif cups with whipped cream using a piping bag.
- Garnish with chopped nuts and a light drizzle of caramel or honey.
- Serve immediately or chill for 30 minutes for a cool, refreshing bite.
Notes
- Ensure kadaif is fully crispy before removing from muffin tins to avoid sogginess.
- Use a variety of nuts for an extra crunch and texture contrast.
- If not serving immediately, store the whipped cream separately and fill kadaif cups just before serving.
- For a more indulgent touch, top with extra caramel drizzle or a dusting of powdered sugar.
