Description

Flavorful grilled mahi-mahi fillets marinated in a citrusy garlic-lime blend with Key West-inspired spices, grilled until tender and topped with fresh cilantro.


Ingredients

  • 4 mahi-mahi fillets
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • Pinch of cayenne pepper
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • Lime wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, lime juice, minced garlic, cumin, paprika, black pepper, salt, and cayenne.
  2. Place mahi-mahi fillets in a shallow dish or zip-top bag and pour the marinade over them. Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Oil grates lightly to prevent sticking.
  4. Remove fish from marinade and grill for 3–4 minutes per side or until grill marks form and fish flakes easily with a fork.
  5. Transfer to a plate, sprinkle with chopped cilantro, and serve with lime wedges.

Notes

  • Do not over-marinate the fish to prevent a mushy texture.
  • Serve with a fresh salad or rice for a complete meal.
  • Use a fish spatula to prevent fillets from breaking on the grill.
