- 1 lb ground beef
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 2 cups cooked white rice
- 2 green onions, sliced
- 1 tablespoon toasted sesame seeds
- Salt and pepper, to taste
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium-high heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for 1 minute.
- Stir in soy sauce, brown sugar, sesame oil, ground ginger, and red pepper flakes. Cook for 2–3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the beef.
- Taste and season with salt and pepper if needed.
- Serve the beef mixture hot over bowls of steamed white rice.
- Garnish with sliced green onions and toasted sesame seeds.
Notes
- Use lean ground beef to minimize excess fat.
- Adjust red pepper flakes to control spice level.
- Try with brown rice or cauliflower rice for a lighter option.
