- 35g sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 teaspoon agar agar powder
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ripe mango, diced
- 1/2 cup sponge cake or pound cake, cubed
- Additional fruits (like strawberries or peaches), optional
Instructions
- Make the Mango Jelly: Blend the mango with water until smooth. Pour into a pan and add sugar and agar agar. Heat on low while stirring continuously for 3–4 minutes. Pour into a dish and let it set in the fridge for 30 minutes.
- Prepare the Cream: Whip the cream with sugar and vanilla extract until soft peaks form. Keep chilled.
- Assemble the Trifle: In a glass bowl or cup, layer cubes of sponge cake, followed by mango jelly cubes, a spoonful of whipped cream, and diced mango. Repeat layers if using a larger bowl.
- Top with more whipped cream and assorted fresh fruits if desired. Serve chilled.
