  • 12 rolls Hawaiian Rolls (soft and sweet)
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (for classic flavor)
  • 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (adds creaminess)
  • 4 tbsp Butter (softened)
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder (optional, for enhanced flavor)
  • 1 tsp Dried Herbs (optional – oregano or basil)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them.
  3. Generously spread softened butter on the cut sides of the rolls.
  4. Sprinkle garlic powder over the buttered rolls if desired.
  5. Layer shredded cheddar and mozzarella over the bottom half of the rolls.
  6. Place the top half back onto the cheese-covered bottom half.
  7. Wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil.
  8. Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted.
  9. Unwrap and return the rolls to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up.
