- 12 rolls Hawaiian Rolls (soft and sweet)
- 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese (for classic flavor)
- 1 cup Shredded Mozzarella Cheese (adds creaminess)
- 4 tbsp Butter (softened)
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder (optional, for enhanced flavor)
- 1 tsp Dried Herbs (optional – oregano or basil)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Carefully slice the Hawaiian rolls in half horizontally without separating them.
- Generously spread softened butter on the cut sides of the rolls.
- Sprinkle garlic powder over the buttered rolls if desired.
- Layer shredded cheddar and mozzarella over the bottom half of the rolls.
- Place the top half back onto the cheese-covered bottom half.
- Wrap the sandwich tightly in aluminum foil.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until the cheese is melted.
- Unwrap and return the rolls to the oven for an additional 5 minutes to crisp up.
- Remove from the oven, let cool slightly, slice, and serve warm.
