Description

Fun and colorful Rice Krispy treats shaped like pineapples, decorated with yellow icing and green glittery leaves for a tropical twist on a classic treat.


Ingredients

  • 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 package (10 oz) mini marshmallows
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Yellow icing (for decorating)
  • Green candy melts or frosting (for the leaves)

Instructions

  1. Melt butter in a large saucepan over low heat.
  2. Add mini marshmallows and stir continuously until melted and smooth.
  3. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  4. Gradually fold in Rice Krispies cereal until fully coated.
  5. Let mixture cool for 5 minutes until easy to handle.
  6. Grease hands lightly and shape mixture into pineapple shapes on parchment-lined tray.
  7. Optionally use molds for uniform shapes.
  8. Decorate each treat with yellow icing in a crisscross pattern to mimic pineapple texture.
  9. Pipe or spread green candy melts or frosting on top for leaves; add edible glitter if desired.
  10. Let treats set for 30 minutes to firm up before serving.
