- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup corn syrup or maple syrup
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups crisp rice cereal
- 1 cup chopped pecans, toasted

Instructions
- In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar, syrup, and salt.
- Stir constantly until mixture comes to a low boil; simmer 2 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in vanilla, cereal, and pecans.
- Press mixture into a parchment-lined 8×8 pan.
- Cool completely, then slice into bars.
