Caramelized Pears:
- 1 Large or 2 Small to Medium Pears
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Butter
- 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1 1/2 Tablespoon Sugar
Sweetened Whipped Cream:
- As needed for topping
Pumpkin Panna Cotta:
- 1 1/2 Cups Half & Half
- 2 to 3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup (Or Sugar)
- 3/4 Cup Pumpkin Puree (Canned Or Homemade)
- 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
- 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
- 1 Package (1/4 Ounce) Gelatin
- 1/3 Cup Milk
Instructions
- Prepare Gelatin: Place the milk in a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over it, stir gently, and let it soften for 5 minutes.
- Mix Panna Cotta: Combine half and half, maple syrup, and pumpkin in a saucepan, heat until scalding, whisk in cinnamon and nutmeg, then add the gelatin mixture.
- Chill Panna Cotta: Divide mixture into 4 glasses or ramekins, refrigerate.
- Caramelize Pears: Dice pears, sauté with butter, sugar, and cinnamon until tender and golden.
- Serve: Bring panna cotta to room temperature, top with whipped cream and caramelized pears, then serve.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use real maple syrup in the panna cotta.
- Adjust sugar in the pears based on the sweetness of the fruit.
