Caramelized Pears:

  • 1 Large or 2 Small to Medium Pears
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon Butter
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1 1/2 Tablespoon Sugar

Sweetened Whipped Cream:

  • As needed for topping

Pumpkin Panna Cotta:

  • 1 1/2 Cups Half & Half
  • 2 to 3 Tablespoons Maple Syrup (Or Sugar)
  • 3/4 Cup Pumpkin Puree (Canned Or Homemade)
  • 1 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/4 Teaspoon Nutmeg
  • 1 Package (1/4 Ounce) Gelatin
  • 1/3 Cup Milk

Instructions

  1. Prepare Gelatin: Place the milk in a small bowl, sprinkle the gelatin over it, stir gently, and let it soften for 5 minutes.
  2. Mix Panna Cotta: Combine half and half, maple syrup, and pumpkin in a saucepan, heat until scalding, whisk in cinnamon and nutmeg, then add the gelatin mixture.
  3. Chill Panna Cotta: Divide mixture into 4 glasses or ramekins, refrigerate.
  4. Caramelize Pears: Dice pears, sauté with butter, sugar, and cinnamon until tender and golden.
  5. Serve: Bring panna cotta to room temperature, top with whipped cream and caramelized pears, then serve.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use real maple syrup in the panna cotta.
  • Adjust sugar in the pears based on the sweetness of the fruit.
