Description

Indulge in the rich, velvety sweetness of these Red Velvet Fudgy Brownies. With a deep crimson hue and a hint of cocoa flavor, these brownies are perfect for special occasions like date nights, Valentine’s Day, or any celebration. The sweet white chocolate drizzle adds a beautiful contrast to these ultra-fudgy treats.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Brownie Batter:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 tsp red food coloring (or 2 Tbsp beet powder for natural coloring)
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour

White Chocolate Drizzle:

  • White chocolate melts or chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat oven to 350 °F (175 °C). Grease an 8×8″ pan and line it with parchment paper.
  2. Mix Batter: In a bowl, whisk together melted butter, cocoa powder, and sugar until smooth. Add eggs and vanilla, whisk until blended. Stir in baking powder, salt, food coloring, and buttermilk until combined.
  3. Add Flour: Gently fold in the flour until just combined.
  4. Bake: Spread the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 22–25 minutes, or until the center is set and the edges are firm.
  5. Cool and Drizzle: Let the brownies cool in the pan. Melt the white chocolate and drizzle it over the cooled brownies. Slice into squares and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can adjust the amount of red food coloring or beet powder to achieve your desired red hue.
  • For a more intense chocolate flavor, use dark cocoa powder.
