Description

Fall-off-the-bone tender pork ribs simmered in a sweet and savory Hawaiian-inspired sauce made with pineapple, soy, and brown sugar—easy comfort food with a tropical twist.

Pork Ribs:

  • 3 lbs pork baby back ribs, cut into 3-rib sections

Sauce:

  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce (low sodium)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup ketchup
  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 tsp grated fresh ginger
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper

Additional:

  • 1 cup pineapple chunks (fresh or canned, drained)
  • Sliced green onions, for garnish
  • Cooked rice, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Sauce: In a bowl, whisk together pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, ketchup, vinegar, garlic, ginger, and pepper.
  2. Cook the Ribs: Place ribs in the slow cooker and pour the sauce over them. Scatter pineapple chunks on top.
  3. Slow Cook: Cover and cook on low for 7–8 hours or on high for 4–5 hours, until ribs are tender and nearly falling apart.
  4. Optional Glazing: For a sticky glaze, transfer cooked ribs to a baking sheet, brush with sauce, and broil for 3–5 minutes.
