Description

Juicy, tender chicken breasts rubbed with bold spices and slowly smoked to perfection for deep, smoky flavor.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon smoked paprika
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your smoker to 225°F (107°C).
  2. Rub chicken breasts with olive oil to help the seasoning adhere.
  3. In a small bowl, combine smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, thyme, cumin, black pepper, salt, and cayenne.
  4. Rub the spice mix evenly over the chicken breasts.
  5. Place the chicken on the smoker grates and cook for 60–90 minutes, or until internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. Remove from smoker and let rest for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • Adjust cayenne pepper based on desired heat level.
  • Use a meat thermometer to ensure accurate internal temperature.
  • Letting the chicken rest helps retain its juices.
