Description

A classic Southern sweet tea infused with ripe peaches and a splash of lemon juice. This fruity and refreshing beverage is perfect for cooling down on warm days and ideal for gatherings.

Ingredients

Units Scale
  • 6 black tea bags
  • 4 cups boiling water
  • 4 cups cold water
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 2 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • Ice cubes
  • Optional: mint sprigs or additional peach slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. Steep black tea bags in 4 cups of boiling water for 5–7 minutes.
  2. Remove tea bags and stir in granulated sugar while the tea is still hot until dissolved.
  3. Let the tea cool slightly, then add lemon juice and 4 cups of cold water.
  4. Place sliced peaches into a large pitcher and pour the sweet tea over them.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to allow the flavors to infuse.
  6. Serve the peach tea over ice and garnish with mint sprigs or peach slices if desired.

Notes

  • Use ripe, juicy peaches for maximum flavor infusion.
  • Adjust the sugar amount based on sweetness preference.
  • For a fizzier twist, replace part of the cold water with sparkling water just before serving.
