Bread:
- 6 slices fresh white bread (or bread of choice)
Strawberry Cream Cheese Filling:
- 12–14 ounces strawberry cream cheese (softened to room temperature)
Fresh Strawberries:
- 6–8 pieces fresh strawberries
Instructions
- Preparation: Spread one side of each slice of bread with cream cheese.
- Cutting Shapes: Using a cookie cutter, cut two hearts out of each slice of bread. Save the scraps for snacking.
- Prepare Strawberries: Slice the strawberries into thin slices and arrange them on the cream cheese.
- Assembling: For open-faced sandwiches, top all 12 hearts with strawberries. For closed-faced sandwiches, top 6 hearts with strawberries and cover them with the remaining 6 hearts.
- Serve: Serve immediately.
