Ground Turkey Sausage:
- 1 lb dark ground turkey
- 1 tsp ground sage or 2 tsp rubbed sage
- 1/2 tsp dried thyme
- 1/2 tsp dried oregano
- 1/4 tsp ground paprika
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1 pinch cayenne pepper
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
For Frying:
- 1–2 tbsp olive oil or avocado oil
Optional:
- 1 tsp all-purpose seasoning (no salt, optional)
- 1/4 tsp fennel seed (optional)
Instructions
- Heat Skillet: Heat a large cast-iron skillet on medium-high heat with olive oil.
- Mix Ingredients: In a bowl, combine ground turkey, seasonings, and salt until well mixed.
- Form Patties: Divide the mixture into 5-6 balls, flatten into patties.
- Cook Patties: Cook patties in the skillet for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown.
- Serve: Transfer patties to a serving platter and enjoy hot.
Notes
- Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days or freeze for several weeks.
- Reheat patties in the oven at 375°F for 10 minutes until warmed through.
- Use gloves and oil to prevent sticking and ensure uniform patties.
