Description

No-Boil Lasagna Noodles:

  • 12 sheets

Ricotta Cheese Mixture:

  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup fresh basil, chopped

Cheese Layers:

  • 16 oz mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup Parmesan cheese

Meat Layer:

  • 1 lb ground beef or Italian sausage

Sauce:

  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven: Preheat to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Brown the meat: Brown beef or sausage in a skillet over medium heat, drain fat.
  3. Add garlic and sauce: Add garlic, cook 1 min, then add marinara sauce and simmer.
  4. Mix ricotta: Combine ricotta, egg, basil, and half of Parmesan.
  5. Layer: Start with meat sauce, noodles, ricotta mix, mozzarella, repeat layers finishing with noodles and Parmesan.
  6. Bake: Cover with foil, bake 30 mins, then uncover and bake 15-20 mins until golden.
  7. Rest and serve: Let rest 10-15 mins before slicing and serving.

  • For a vegetarian option, substitute the meat with sautéed vegetables like spinach or mushrooms.
