Main Meatloaf Ingredients:
- 1 pound ground beef (or ground turkey)
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (whole wheat or panko)
- 1 large egg
- 1/4 cup milk (dairy or plant-based)
- 1/3 cup finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 1/3 cup ketchup
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Preparation: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 1. In a large bowl, combine breadcrumbs and milk; let soak.
- 2. Add ground meat, egg, onion, garlic, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, Dijon, salt, pepper, and parsley. Mix gently.
- 3. Divide mixture into six portions and shape into small loaves. Place on baking sheet.
- 4. Whisk ketchup with brown sugar for glaze. Brush half over each loaf.
- Baking: Bake for 20 minutes, brush with remaining glaze, bake an additional 5–10 minutes until internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).
- 5. Rest for 5 minutes before serving.
