Description

A refreshing and classic gin cocktail enhanced with the tangy sweetness of pomegranate juice, balanced with lemon juice, simple syrup, and a frothy egg white, finished with a splash of club soda for a fizzy touch.

Ingredients

Scale

Liquids

  • 2 oz gin
  • 1 oz lemon juice (freshly squeezed)
  • 1/2 oz simple syrup
  • 2 oz pomegranate juice
  • 1 oz club soda

Other Ingredients

  • 1 egg white
  • Fresh ginger (amount for muddling, about 1-inch piece)

Instructions

  1. Muddle Ginger: Add the fresh ginger piece to a cocktail shaker and gently muddle to release its flavors.
  2. Add Ingredients: Pour in the gin, freshly squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, egg white, and pomegranate juice into the shaker with the muddled ginger.
  3. Shake Without Ice: Shake the mixture for about 10 seconds to combine the ingredients and start emulsifying the egg white.
  4. Shake With Ice: Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously for 30 seconds until well chilled and frothy.
  5. Strain and Serve: Strain the cocktail into a glass to remove the ice and ginger pieces, then top off with 1 oz of club soda for a refreshing fizz.

Notes

  • Use fresh lemon juice for the best flavor.
  • The egg white adds a creamy froth and smooth mouthfeel but can be omitted if preferred.
  • Make sure to shake vigorously with ice to chill and aerate the cocktail.
  • Adjust the simple syrup according to the sweetness of your pomegranate juice.
  • Always strain well to avoid bits of ginger and ice in the final drink.
