Description

This quick and easy lasagna recipe is a delicious and comforting meal that the whole family will love. Layers of lasagna noodles, meat, cheese, and marinara sauce come together to create a hearty dish that is perfect for any night of the week.


Ingredients

Llasagna Noodles:

Ricotta Cheese:

2 cups

Shredded Mozzarella Cheese:

2 cups

Grated Parmesan Cheese:

1 cup

Marinara Sauce:

2 cups

Ground Beef or Sausage:

1 pound

Egg:

1

Salt and Pepper:

To taste

Fresh Basil:

Optional, for garnish


Instructions

  1. Preheat: the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook: the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. Brown: the ground beef or sausage in a skillet, seasoning with salt and pepper.
  4. Mix: the ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the Parmesan cheese together in a bowl.
  5. Spread: a layer of marinara sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Place: three lasagna noodles over the sauce.
  7. Layer: one-third of the ricotta mixture, one-third of the meat mixture, and one-third of the mozzarella cheese.
  8. Repeat: the layers two more times, finishing with noodles and the remaining sauce on top.
  9. Sprinkle: with the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Cover: with aluminum foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  11. Remove: the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  12. Let: sit for 10 minutes before slicing.
