Ingredients

Cake:

  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Unsalted Butter
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3 large Eggs
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1 cup Whole Milk

Custard:

  • 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 2 tbsp Cornstarch
  • 4 large Egg Yolks
  • 2 cups Fresh Strawberries

Instructions

  1. Making the Cake Preheat oven, prepare pans, mix dry ingredients, cream butter and sugar, add eggs and vanilla, alternate dry ingredients and milk, bake, and cool.
  2. Making the Custard and Assembling Heat milk, combine sugar, cornstarch, and egg yolks, thicken mixture, slice cakes, layer with custard and strawberries, repeat, top with custard and strawberries, chill.

Notes

  • You can decorate the top with additional whipped cream for an extra touch.
  • Ensure the custard is completely cooled before assembling the cake layers.
